Pcha
Siaka Traoré — better known as Pcha — is part of a new wave of Malian artists reshaping what West African music can sound like. Born and raised in Sikasso, he grew up surrounded by rhythm, the son of the legendary Neba Solo, one of Mali’s most celebrated balafonists. Pcha mastered the balafon at an early age, but his vision was always bigger than tradition alone.
Pcha has been fearlessly bending genres—folding amapiano, afrobeats, electronic dance music, rap, and hip-hop into his work, alongside the deep musical heritage of his homeland. His signature song, ‘N’ma Wili Fôlô’ — which translates as ‘I’ve not even begun’ — is both a personal statement and a promise, hinting that even his most impressive work so far is only the beginning of what’s to come.
Now based in Bamako after earning his Baccalauréat and studying at the Balla FASSEKÉ Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia, Pcha is building a global following, with thousands of TikTok fans drawn to his fresh image, magnetic stage presence, and fearless experimentation. More than an inheritor of a musical legacy, Pcha is a voice for a generation—blending ancestral sound with the global beats of today, and poised to take Malian music to dance floors and playlists around the world.
